5.4.0
Release notes for 5.4.0.
Released: 2026-08-13
Features
create-zudo-doc: new Claude skills (writing) scaffold feature (
--claude-skills-writing, off by default) — ships the newzudo-doc-writingClaude Code skill into generated projects: a doc-writing + navigation-structure guide (plan-the-nav-tree-first workflow, 3-level hierarchy, file-structure-is-navigation, category index pages,sidebar_positiondiscipline, frontmatter schema, no-h1 rule, relative.mdxlinks, admonition syntax) that keeps AI-assisted doc authoring from producing chaotic navigation. Independent of the existing "Claude skills (user-facing)" checkbox. (b37e28e5, #3383)
Bug Fixes
Corrected stale doc-authoring claims in the writing-rules skill and the Writing Docs guide: the default docs frontmatter schema is
.passthrough()(custom keys are preserved, not rejected — and a typo'd framework field is silently ignored rather than erroring), and the admonition set includes thecautiontype (theCautioncomponent, plus the JSX-onlyImportantcomponent). (9acbc838, 3f338647, #3384)
Other Changes
Restructured the Claude Skills guide (EN+JA) around the two independent opt-in skill features, and fixed the stale claim that shipped skills are verbatim monorepo copies. (4511619d)
Template drift check: allowlisted the template-only
zudo-doc-writingskill (its correctness is guarded by the generator's vitest suite). (821f6602)
